The straightening principle of steel pipe

The purpose of the straightening process is to eliminate the bending of the steel pipe during rolling, conveying, cooling and heat treatment, and to reduce the ovality of the steel pipe in the other place. Straightening effect is mainly through the regulation of the middle roller, resulting in the longitudinal bending of steel pipe, while each pair of straightening rollers also exert a certain pressure on the pipe, the pipe cross-section repeated elliptical deformation.
 
This elliptical deformation and bending deformation superimposed, prompting the steel tube in the deformation process of the body axis of the tensile plastic deformation zone. During the straightening process, each cross section of the steel pipe is bent in a reciprocating manner in the plastic zone for several times in a row and at the same time the bending deformation is gradually reduced to achieve the effect that the steel pipe is straightened.
