Project introduction:Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater and household sewage, both runoff (effluents), domestic, commercial and institutional. It includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove physical, chemical and biological contaminants. The project is being carried out in four phases and is expected to be completed by 2012. It is targeted to serve a population of 900,000 citizens by 2020, treating 439,000 cubic metres of wastewater on a daily basis.
